Villa Makax is located on the west side of Isla Mujeres overlooking the turquoise waters of the Caribbean with beautiful views of sunsets and the twinkling lights of Cancun in the distance. With our private beach and soothing heated saltwater pool, the Villa is truly a sanctuary hidden behind private walls.

Named for one of the sides of this double water front property, Laguna Makax, the villa is styled after the traditional Mayan Palapa, grass roofs crafted utilizing the same skills and techniques used 1000 years ago.

There are restaurants and shopping within walking distance and the Turtle preserve is a short walk south down our beach. Our guests can be picked up for their Isla Mujeres water tours at our private dock on the laguna side.

Our cottages are literally steps from the beach and crystal clear water, with views are as wonderful as the tropical energy and breezes. A beautiful pool invites you to lounge and chill. Once inside our enchanted villa, you’ll be in a world of your own choosing. So close to the beach, if any closer you would be in the water.
